Gas gauge is WAY off...
My gas gauge is getting really bad.. Last time I filled up, it was on E for almost 50 miles, and it only took 11.5 gallons! I heard there's a way to adjust it, but forget how.. Any ideas?

gas guage....
Mark,
When I got my car, the gas guage did not work. If I filled up the tank it would go up to about 3/4 for a few miles then fall to 1/4, then back up to almost a half, then to empty etc. etc. In other words, it read all over the map.... There are two floats (sending units) in the tank; one on each side. Access is with the seatback down under the carpet, under the rear deck. The problem turned out to be the float on the right (facing rear). I bought a used one from one of the forum members, and all has been well since. It was one of those things that really was aggravating... If you decide to check this out, run most of the fuel out of the tank, and remove the filler cap to relieve pressure before you open the tank access. Hope this helps...

Make the light show up. Pull the needle out and push it back in at E.
That's what I did to mine and works nicely. L

I'll give the needle trick a try first, since my gauge doesn't "bounce" all over the place.. After filling it up a few days ago, about 45 miles later I'm at 1/2 a tank already!
