HIR or HID bulbs?
Has anyone had the HIR(Toshiba) bulbs and switched to HID's? In theory the HID's would seem to have better lighting but without trying each it's only speculation I guess.

Re: HIR or HID bulbs?
Quote:
the HID- in the right color- are brighter and use less power. I have a 4100k set in one and 4500k set in another lights. all white, no blue. the down side to HID's is that when I am in NY during the winter, because the lights don't burn as hot, the headlights ice over sometimes. I keep an HIR bulb on hand if I know I will be driving in a big storm and swap out one light. hope that helps.
