weird black car???
A couple of guys stopped by the house yesterday and asked if they could check my car out. They had cards from a motorsports shop and said that they did a lot of Honda tuning. Being that it doesn't take much to get me out of the house I was out in a minute. I walked over to the Svx and the guys didn't even notice it. Well, one did. He said that 'That's a weird black car isn't it?' The car that they were interested in is an 85 Toyota corolla that I've got in the yard. They were practically drooling over it. They were going on and on about how this car shouldn't be sitting in a driveway, it should be out drifting.
Humph, weird black car... Anyway, they begged me to sell them the Corolla but I'd already given it to my son for his 16th Bday. I gave him a call to see if he was interested in selling and he asked me - 'Are you crazy?' He said that he could sell the car in a minute. He gets asked about it all of the time. again, Humph, weird black car...

I think that's the AE86 Corolla. Used by alot of drifters, and a hard to find car in that condition. If he decided to sell, it'd be easy.

Personally I would have sold it but at a high price. I have a 92 Acura GS with a Blown Head gasket sitting in my backyard I want to get rid of so bad. I do not like Honda's.

It's only an AE86 if it's a GT-S. Otherwise it's just a Corolla. Still a REALLY neat lil car tho.

that is the same toyota from that anime movie/show posted a few years back. It was the off/older car in the show. I think it was nikfu that posted about seeing a SVX in the show... I never saw the SVX but was somewhat amused with the rest of the anime and watched all the other stuff like an old 85 corolla drifting on the mountain, and the crazy vans.

The show was Initial-D. They called the 'Yota Hachi Roku(SP) or old car. The kid was, get this, a tofu delivery driver!
Yeah there was a JDM 3-tone sprinkled liberally through the show. Never racing, just passing by.
