READING V HOTEL INFO

I just got off the phone with John Hutchinson, General manager of the Lancaster Holiday Inn.

He remembered me and the network as well. I gave him the particulars and the dates, etc. The rate he quoted us for this year is just a little higher than last year.

The rooms are $51.00/night, plus the 11% hotel tax, for a total o $56.61/night (As a point of reference, our price last year was $49.00/night plus tax, for a total of $54.39)

At present we are again asking for between 25-30 rooms. Most rooms have the two double beds, with 1-4 people per room. He also has a few king beds which he will let us have for the same price as long as they are available.

He will be getting back to me with the contract information and the code to use when contacting the hotel for our special rate. Once the contract is finalized, you can to call 1-800-437-5711 and give them your requests and the code.

The hotel website is www.holiday-inn.com/hi-lancaster

I also requested if Jeff, who is the owner of the hotel (and an SVX owner) could show up during the meet. If he was unavailable I requested at least that his car be there.

"update" as posted by svxcess

I just got off the phone again with John Hutchinson, General manager of the Lancaster Holiday Inn.

He has initially reserved a block of 30 rooms for us. Here is the breakdown:

20 rooms with 2 double beds each for $51.00/night, plus the 11% hotel tax, for a total of $56.61/night.
(As a point of reference, our price last year was $49.00/night plus tax, for a total of $54.39)

9 rooms with one king bed for $55.00/night plus tax, for a total of $61.09.
(The price of the king rooms only went up $1.00 from last year.)

These rates are good for 1-4 people per room.

He has already put or rates into his computer base. You can begin to make your reservations anytime. Call (800) 437-5711 and give them the code 7SSVX to get the special rate. The cutoff date for reserving these rooms and this rate is Thursday, April 1, 2004

I have the distinction of being the first club member to have made confirmed reservations for Reading V, taking 1 of the king rooms

The sooner we get this block filled, the easier it will be to get additional rooms added to the block, if needed, while they are still available.

The hotel website is www.holiday-inn.com/hi-lancaster

I also made a request if Jeff, who is the owner of the hotel (and an SVX owner) could show up sometime during the meet. If he was unavailable I requested at least that his car be there.

I spoke with John, the Manager of the hotel, in person yesterday. Our block of rooms has been dropped, BUT there are still 7 rooms left at the hotel which can be had for our special rate! If you're thinking of spending the night at the hotel, make your reservations NOW!
