Transmission Solenoid replacement

Can the solenoids be replaced without dropping the valve body?

Anybody have a copy of the procedure they would be willing to post?

Nope, the body has to come out - they are on top of it.

I also suggest having a spare gasket ready. The two parts of valve body are separated by a paper gasket. It becomes brittle over time - very easy to break the old one during valve body r/r.

Let us know the results of the line pressure test...

Thanks. It seems unanimous between the three of you helping - needs a pressure test.

I will post back.

Can you point out which port I should use? I'm assuming the port that shows band pressure would be the one to watch???

looks like I need to either buy the FSM or pick up the book from Level 10 or similar. I'd hate to drop a ball bearing in the valve body and not know where to put it back.
