Re: Young Tom, someone help ASAP.

So I am guessing the pedals went in?? You need to carefully bend the brake lines out of the way without kinking them... Let me know how everything goes... BTW I like the video

Tom - Yeah I moved the brake lines as far as I could with busting every little plastic holder in there. I think I might have to grind the booster of the cylinder a bit to get them to fit next to each other. We'll see.

Re: Young Tom, someone help ASAP.

So Bat'Qul was over Sunday helping when I realized I had totally spaced on getting a trans mount and pressure plate bolts.
Monday morning I went to the dealer and ordered both. They had the Group Ns in stock, but had to order the bolts. $20 freight charge so I could get them today.

Well, as my luck would have it, the guy did my order wrong. (so there's no need to stop by today dude)

Bolts are not here today. It was already after 5 when I decided to check in with the parts counter so I could not do the order right and get them by tomorrow, no, I have to go back in tomorrow THEN have the guy fix it so I can get them by Thursday.
It was a different guy at the counter today and he suggested I come back and see the other guy Wednesday so he could realize the mistake he made, get a bit of a refund on my $20.

Thursday trans goes in! I swear it.

Yeah it was fun..nice we got a few things dont though.. Dont forget to call me when you do get those bolts, im sure you will need a hand to do the lifting of the trans.

Oh yeah ....was wondering if you found out if you need your speedo gear or your old mount from your auto....because if you dont i could really use them

Re: Young Tom, someone help ASAP.

I don't need either of those things. I'd really like to just shove off the whole trans onto someone, after I tinker with it a bit to find out what's wrong with the diff.

Re: Young Tom, someone help ASAP.

Some of the internals (gears, tc) only have 29k on them from the rebuild in 04 so it ain't gonna be free.

Re: Young Tom, someone help ASAP.

Nothing easy about it... But it took about 10 pedal assemblies to get that right

Re: Young Tom, someone help ASAP.

Oh nay, NikFu i thought you were going to trash it. I will get the speed0 and the old mount from you. :-) i dont think my trans is bad if the mounts and a good fluid change does not fix the kick that i get when i go from reverse to drive or park to drive/reverse then maybe i have a seriouse problem. I plan on driving from here to kansas.

Re: Young Tom, someone help ASAP.

Friday.

Something about them being on a truck instead of a plane.

All I know is my plans are yet again delayed due to someone who is not me.
