1 ton or 2 ton shop crane???

I am thinking of buying a foldable shop/engine crane from Harbor Freight.
Which one should I get? 1 or 2 ton?
Is the 1 ton steady enough for our SVX engine? I remember I read one of the thread here saying the HF shop crane bent after lift.
Any advice?

I use a 2.25 ton crane.
The crane has four positions.
4500#s, 3375#s, 2250#s, and 1125#s.
All four settings are within a 21.25" span.
A stronger engine crane would be a safer engine crane.
And as a Krynock, "we're all about safety".

In regard to an engine crane, yes, the two ton takes up only a little bit more in the shop than a one ton, and would be safer.

And if you were asking about beer, then yes, again you are right... Unless of course you're trying to carry it while balancing on wobbly joists 30 feet in the air

A 2ton really isnt much bigger than a 1ton (just alittle bit beefier). I bought mine for $150 from Northern Tools and it came with an engine level aswell.
