Purge Control Solenoid

I recently checked the codes due to my check engine light coming on and I got a code for a Purge Control Solenoid and I am not quite sure where this is located at on my car. If someone could point me in the right direction that would help me out greatly. Thanks in advance.

You will find a black canister, engine compartment, front left, with two flexible tubes connected to it. Follow the tube going towards the engine. It is connected to the Purge Control Solenoid valve at the first connection point.

I just went out and looked and are you referring to the black canister, front left engine compartment, next to the radiator? That has two tubs running out but both run into the engine and underneath the tops of the intake manifold, if that is it then I'll look further tomorrow when it's light out. Thanks.

Yes, you are on the right track. I agree things are rather obscure and you will need good light.

It is certainly hard to get at and you are probably right.

Any ideas as to where I can purchase a purge control solenoid? Assuming I am in need of one. Thanks.

The PCSV simply draws of fuel gas/fumes collected by charcoal within the canister. A continually open valve could cause a problem, but do you have poor running simptoms? If so the inlet to the valve could be blocked off, provided that you are not overly concerned in respect of the environment.

Thats not what you are looking for. That it merely a connector to the crankcase breather system...

Ok, I am just not completely familiar with the complete engine layout of my SVX yet so I'm still trying to locate where it is positioned on my engine. If I can find a Chilton's manual for my SVX this weekend then I'll go that route as to locating it. Thanks.

There is a third hose attached to the bottom of this canister. Mine goes no where, do you know where the other end of this hose attactes to?
