Neutral safety switch wires to splice clutch into?
Hopefully someone remembers this off the top of their heads...
Huck's 5MT swap write up says the following: Quote:
Is that the one I should be splicing into?

Re: Neutral safety switch wires to splice clutch into?
They look like the right ones? All the others are a thinner gauge, it's the two heavier wires in the bottom corner.
If you're scrapping the auto that was in there, I usually cut the plug off the end of the harness coming from auto trans. Then wire in the reverse switch and either short the NSS or run the clutch wires to the NSS wires. Then that can plug right into the car side of the harness.

Re: Neutral safety switch wires to splice clutch into?
Thanks Dave, YT just told me the same thing. My auto actually never gave me any issues, so I sold it to a local SVX owner to replace his. That would definitely be the easiest way to do it though.

Re: Neutral safety switch wires to splice clutch into?
If you're not ready to do it right now, that part is easy enough to grab from a trans in a junkyard...

Re: Neutral safety switch wires to splice clutch into?
If I could find a trans in a junkyard . There's only two SVXii that I've come across here and neither had drivelines. (But I did get the doors from one and the cupholder and shift lock from the other).
Although.... I did come across mention of a guy parting a car in Montreal, where I'm working. Hmmmm...
