Did you read that Saddam made replicas of US and UK uniforms to blow away his own citizens on video to show to other Arab nations to rally them?

Nope, I am not. I am Russain. And tell you the truth, I have friends fighting in Iraq right now from my High School in US, and some in military from Russia (hopefully they haven't entered any wars yet). But no matter what, that deeply affects me.

I wish I could say Jimmy was

right when he sang the words "WAR, ....whats it good for !?"

but when you are going to have humans living together, and because a few kids cant play nicely, your going to have
confrontation. How you deal with it all depends.

I feel for those who have friends or family in the armed forces, but this is an all voluntary enlistment, and the people I know who are over there, do miss their family and want to be home, but they are also TRAINED for this and many of the soldiers I know welcome the chance for some PAYBACKS in person.

with all due respect.....

. . . except perhaps, for those who lose limbs, loved ones, homes, businesses, or their own lives.

Get it correct, please...

I). When "Jimmy" sang...

"Jimmy" who? That song was not by Jimi Hendrix, it was by a group named "WAR" who also sang "The World is a Ghetto" & "Spill the Wine", etc.

II). "The French said not long ago that they would enter troops into the war if Iraq started using WMD..."

And within hours the French Ambassahole to the UN publicly repudiated it 100%!

QUERY? How could Iraq use WMD's? THEY say they don't have any, never have, etc.!

III). By the way, Hilter invaded Hungary, Poland, Belgium, The Netherlands, and poor little France LONG BEFORE the invasion of Russia.

Minor little things like accuracy should never get in the way of a well-intentioned rant about political co-rectum-ness...

RE: war

Why war? Why not war?

Kinda one sided opinion i think. don't get me wrong. i'm proud to be an american.

but, on the other hand. i'm sure there are people that are proud to be iraqi. let's not look at this one sided. if you were iraqi like the way we are americans. what would you do if other powers come to you and ask you to do this and do that? what if you believe that what you are doing is right and what the others are telling you to do is hokey pokey? i mean pretend you are the leader of a country and you are trying to do what you think is right for you and maybe your people and the whole world is against you. what would you do? i mean think about it, these people are culturally different so their views for what is good for them is obviously different. they want to be a strong country as any other country in the world. so they want weapons. natural i think. it's just like our need to have lots of weapons and state of the art technology. we want to protect ourselves, so do they.

the way i see it is that saddam is an old man. he's seen war quite a few times in his life. he's got money and power now. i don't think he is interested in fighting much any longer. i believe that culture does not make a difference in the fact that as we will get older, we all hope and dream that our golden years are free from worries and have financial independence. i don't think saddam is that much different. his subordinates on the other hand.........

oh well. i guess war is good. gives us something to look foward to. a struggle for man. we always need a good cause whether it is right or wrong. but who judges what's right or wrong? i guess the guys with the big guns. oh well..............

Well it sounds like James Brown but it looks like it was Edwin Starr who sang this song.

Я говорю Русский немного. Но я понятия не имею, что Вы пробуете говорить...

Even if you did... that's what it would look like. It was supposed to say
ya gavaru Ruskey, nimnoga. No, ya lonyatiya ne ymeu, shcto vye lrobyeta gavaretia.

One cultural similarity is that they don't use capitol letters either....
