Re: Oil pressure light acting funny

Do you have a factory Subaru pressure sender/sensor in your SVX?

Re: Oil pressure light acting funny

It goes strait down into the engine block.
Looking at the engine from the front it is behind the alternator, a little towards the passenger side.
It has a single wire going to it with a blade connector.

Yeah, I would think verifying that it is a Subaru part and/or cleaning the contacts would be the most logical next step. A pressure check would also be nice if you are worried that there is a serious problem outside of the sender and its contacts. But if the sender isn't Subaru, it is highly likely that this is the problem.
