Hmmm, no AC

Today was the first time I used my AC since last fall and it seems that my AC is only blowing warm air. Has anybody used the Interdynamics Artic Freeze kit to test and recharge their system? Is it better to bring it somewhere or is DIY fairly easy?

My AC system was converted to R134 last year.

I have a low pressure gauge that came with one of my recharge kits. I just put however many ounces that are called for into the system and it usually works fine. Maybe 40-45 degree air comes out.

Re: Hmmm, no AC

If it indicates leak, look at the o-rings. I had to replace one of mine last summer.

If you paid someone to do this, you should take the car back and see what (if anything) they're willing to do for you before shelling-out more money for diagnosis or repairs.

It was done for me last year at no charge after OT got a little too excited with the sawzall and nicked a AC line. (Sorry Tom, I still find that amusing).

It did work well all last summer and into the fall so I think it must have developed a leak over the winter months.
