Re: Any pictures/diagrams for a homemade crankshaft pulley tool?
I will try to put together a small engineering drawing of the tool so that Earl can post it in the How-to section. Should take about 15 minutes in paint, or I'll freehand it and scan it up. I'll do that as soon as I do my solenoid C and write-up...
Really though, maybe sooner.

Re: Any pictures/diagrams for a homemade crankshaft pulley tool?
As a followup to this thread I wanted to close it out by saying the tool isn't really needed. I did just fine using a large flathead screwdriver to lock the teeth on the flexplate/flywheel and torqued the bolt. I did this without the help of an assistant, and it only took a few minutes to complete.
The tool would be great, but I wasted a few days trying to figure out how to make the tool when I could have just locked the flywheel and moved on. If I did this for a living, I would be all over the tool, but I don't plan on doing this often... Thanks for your input though, I do greatly appreciate everything you guys have done so far. |
