Prior accident?

I removed this question from somebody elses post and posted it in this forum:
I'm concerned that my car might have been in a prior accident as the driver's side door doesn't match up with the paneling, just curious to see what people think. I've noticed this for a while, but have just now got around to asking about it.
If anyone feels like it or gets a chance to look at these, look at the gap between the rear of the door and the other pannels. If not, no worries at all
