94 SVX - Front Wheel Drive
I am attempting to replace the rear bearings. I was able to break everything down except I can't figure out how to remove the ABS sensor in order to remove the housing.

Re: 94 SVX - Front Wheel Drive
Lots of penetrating oil. I used a small punch and hammer against the top of the flange to get it turned slightly (I believe I tapped it back and forth a few times to get it turning semi-freely), then put the punch through the bolt hole and tapped the sensor until it started to move. I bent one of them a little, but it bent back just fine. The SVX wheel speed sensors seem to be unusually robust, I've seen much newer ones utterly destroyed being removed with very little force.

Re: 94 SVX - Front Wheel Drive
sometimes it is best to removed the wiring from the car side and leave the sensor in the hub... At this point for most SVXi if the sensor needs to come out of the hub, its not going to be goin back in

Re: 94 SVX - Front Wheel Drive
I did much the same as what Crazy Pilot suggested, the metal mounting plate may bend some if it is in there tight. Basically you need to get some rotation out of them back and forth to prep for removal. I also used a flat tip screw driver and chisel to get it to seperate. make sure to clean them up carefully when you get them removed so they will install smoothly.
