How do you take an SVX sunroof off?

Anyone taken an SVX sunroof off?
I need to remove mine to have a few minor rust areas fixed and repainted before they get worse - but it looks like a major!
What went on must come off somehow, but I can't see what to undo or how to approach it.
Mine is a 95 SVX - with a factory electric sunroof which first pops up at the rear and rolls back just a little and stops. Then when you push the button again it rolls back all the way. Still doesn't reveal any obvious means of removal. . .

You probably have to pull down the headliner and remove the sunroof from the inside.

Yup.

From what I have learned about, removing the headliner is probably the most tedious part of it.

Something like 6 bolts or nuts, and the whole cartridge of the sunroof assembly comes down from inside the roof.

It's actually pretty easy.

With the panel open a little, pull the front of the liner on the panel down, then slide it forward a little to release it from where it hooks at the back.

Then there are six nuts that hold the panel - remove them, then from outside the car lift the panel straight up and off.

You can then run the mechanism back and forward if you want, to give you access to all areas. - Ed

Thanks ZMan. You've saved me a bundle if the panel shop had to spend a day figuring that out.
This is my first post, so thanks heaps.
I'll let y'all know how it goes.
