I'd definitely go with Maniac. I literally just had my alternator redone by them this week. I dropped it off (I live nearby) on Saturday morning and ended up talking to Christian about SVX's and subarus for about 2 hours. Good people there. I got my alternator back on Wednesday (they shipped it back so i wouldn't have to drive down again).
I went with the High Output option and it came to right at $200 with tax.

Besides the aluminum-ceramic coated high-output unit on my polo, I have two more 160A units in reserve. All have lifetime warranties. The best company out there at what they do... svxcess knows. .

I have been very pleased with a number of Maniac Motors SVX and Legacy alternators that I have purchased.
They come back working perfectly, and look like new. As I need them I will buy more from Christian!
