torque converter bolts

anyone got any tips on getting the torque converter bolts out? i cant even get a 1/4'' woble socket on them

Unbolt the alternator and use a couple long extensions from the front of the engine.

You'll find the 24" extension beside your essential 48" extension

well 2 24 inch will do also or 4 12 inch etc you could even take it to 48 1 inch extensions lol

Tape those extensions together so you don't have to scream when the connection pops loose in the middle and you struggle to fish the pieces out.

If I was going to do it that way I would use a LOCKING EXTENSION. But hey, if you wanna use tape...

I always got mine with no problem by using a swivel head snap-on ratchet and a standard 12mm socket. A knock off but competent can be found at lowe's for those not wanting to spend upwards of $100 for a ratchet.

The snap on variant I love dearly is this one, minus the gross handle.

But as I said lowe's has a knock off for like 30 or so I believe

any tricks on getting the dang diff and tranny out? got all bolts out tranny lines disconnected, shift cable off, and everything but i cant seem to get the diff n tranny off the 2 studs far enough to drop it down

Lift up the front of the engine.
