Can you put me down as a maybe? What's the timeline we're dealing with? I can't swing it right now, but I probably can in a couple months.

I don't know if someone brought this up or not, as this is just a quick reply, but you should be able to correct the problem using the same kind of resistor that you have for the turn signals. Make the sensor think its using more power then it really is.

Yeah I think Chris mentioned this to me offline and it does make sense. I think he was just hestitant to add 4 more resistors into the system, maybe for safety or reliability reasons?

The price for this kit will be $500 shipped.
Before considering buying the kit, I would need to know what's involved with installation and how it might look without the diffusers.

Re: SVX LED Taillights

I'm just afraid of the added resistors getting too hot and burning through things.

Re: SVX LED Taillights

What is involved in installation of this kit is taking apart the taillights, prepping the housings for the LED modules to fit, glueing the modules in, and reapplying the lens back on the housing. All details will be in the DIY instructions I make.

MacGyver,
Could you take some pics from a distance you would be if you were in a car behind you?

Some of these actually are, it's just I have cropped all the extra background out of the images to focus in more (these all start as 7mp HUGE images that I first have to reduce, then try to crop out my ugly garage, etc).

But yeah, on some future pictures I'll leave them to illustrate it better.

And I still want to actually get someone to chase me around town with a video and still camera and get some in-action shots too.

And "eventually" actually get another SVX over here to do every possible scenario side-by-side. I'm going to have to reach out in the NW forum though, none of the locals guys have been following this project.
