Well if you've driven an Evo of any trim level you know what a blast to drive they are! However, creature comforts are few and far between. Not the same with my TR which is definitel more liveable on a day-to-day basis.

I definitely love the steel gray color and the new grill. Looks almost like the deep silverstone color Acura used to use on their NSX or Nissan currently uses on their 350Z.

Honestly, I can't wait to see what their new platform is like. Personally, I'm hoping they refine it to the point where it's a tauter, sportier Legacy.

I'm sure the new platform will be an improvement in every way and a force to be reckoned with on both road & track. By the time I'm in the market for another car, I'd probably go for the latest iteration of the Legacy 2.5GT Spec B...

by the time i'm ready for a new car it will probably be an STI - assuming they will have an SMG transmission in it like the uncoming EVO, and they fix that butt-ugly frontend.

.......or it could be an EVO......

I don't think I could ever own an Evo. If I could swing payments on one of those upcoming GT-R's then I'd pass on the Legacy GT Spec B in a heart beat!

I dont get why you dont just get a regular manual transmission car. There is no traffic worse than New York City traffic and i'd still rather take a manual transmission over a sport shift auto any day any time. And this is coming from someone who drove his cousins 5 spd Impreza to the city everyday for a month and a half and sat in 45 mins- 1 hr 30 mins of hell raising traffic every one of those days.

After owning an SVT Lightning followed by an SVX, I'm done with automatics until I'm 50+ yrs old.

Like you Tom, I'd take a manual anyday!

SVXfiles(Tom)'s dad is like 75 yrs old and he is still driving a manual car from a legacy outback.

I also would like to take any car I like with the manual transmission if there's available.

for one reason, the wife won't drive a stick. she's not even willing to learn. other than that, she's cool.

i think a manual would be fun....for a while. you drove it for a month and a half - try driving it in suburban and city traffic for 5 or 6 years, n00b. it would get old pretty quickly. i very seldom see any highway driving.

SMG is the best of both worlds - all the perfomance (and way faster shifting) of a manual, and the convenience of an auto when you want it.

while i'm not a fan of the current EVO's styling or interior (the Recaro seats ARE nice, however), i could live with something like this:

like i said, though, i'd prefer the STi, given an SMG gearbox and better styling.

Hey, you better duck from me as well!

I LOVE the new look. Doesn't blend in with 1/2 the cars on the road...

It has grown on me. I actually like it alot now but only on the steel grey and the black cars. I also think the tribeca looks good too
