Fasteners in the Trunk
I need to get the upper trunk cover off so I can get to where the washer hose fastens to the back wiper. It came off and I need to get it back on. Do the little black fasteners just pull out, or is there a trick to getting them out. I don't want to break them, so thought I would ask first. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I say this because I bought a used deck liner that had all the fasteners still dangling in the holes. I aligned the deck liner & just pushed the fasteners into the deck holes. If you break any trying to get them out, most body shops carry a huge assortment of them. You can imagine all the types & sizes thay have to worry about. Good luck, Ron.

I want to warn you, some of those fasteners are almost impossible to get out.
I had to completely destroy the faster to get the left-middle fastner out. The one on the very left, the faster actual bent the metal in my trunk b4 I was able to pry it out. Please tell me if there is a trick.

Earl, give this a try...since the fasteners are known to break off real easily, use a dandelion puller to get under the fastener and pop it off. It might sound odd at first, but the "V" at the tip of the puller gets underneath the fastener on both sides and reduces the risk of snapping it while prying it off. The shape of most pullers is slim enough to get underneath the panel and is a perfect lever design. The broad base makes it very hard to dent or twist the metal the fastener is snapped into. It works far better than a screw driver will.
Once you get one or two fasteners off, you may be able to peek under to see from which direction the panel itself snaps onto the fastener. You may then be able to pop the panel off the remaining fasteners without having to remove the fasteners. Let me know how you fare
