WTB: Lower torque converter access cover

Hi all,
I'm not even sure what I'm looking for, as I can't find it in the subaruparts.com parts browser anywhere -- but I'm positive it must exist.

Shouldn't there be a cover at the bottom rear of the engine/trans to cover the access to the flexplate / torque converter area?

I bought my '92 LSL a month ago with a freshly rebuilt transmission, and this is missing, presumably forgotten upon reassumbly by the previous owner/rebuilder.

Would like the bolts that go along with it as well.

Thanks!

Re: WTB: Lower torque converter access cover

Hi mate. No they did not have a cover there.
They did have another full length plastic cover that ran from the back of the front undercover, back to cover all the trans. Its in the Book.
Never seen one though, might have been deleted due to trans heat.

Harvey.

Hi Harvey,
Thanks. I saw on my front undercover a clear interface to another rearward cover (two tabs extending rearward from the back edge) and was curious if there was another plastic cover I was missing. That answers that. I can't see that second cover in the parts diagrams either though...

But really? The lower 2 or so inches of the flex plate just spins there exposed to road debris and other elements? Bizarre... I don't think I've ever seen another vehichle that doesn't have that covered.

Actually the early Subarus left that open to the air so that we had an easy place to wrap the starter rope.
