Re: Attempting to fix collision damage myself...
I could do the body parts see attached pic.
If you are traveling through BC at all we could arrange pick-up to avoid shipping cost and hassel. PM to discuss price.

Hate to say it, but I think after shipping gets involved, your best bet is to go with new parts. Iirc, a new fender is around $150 with the other parts each being under $50 for each of them.
The exceptions being, the control arm and side mirror. the ball joints and tie rod ends I would especially replace with new, and not used. |

There's no easy way to go, but if I can at least see what people have and what they are offering I can make some comparisons. A new fender will cost me close to $300.
The reason I am not going new on the tie rod and ball joints is because I plan to retire the car soon, but in the meantime I really need to be able to drive it with both wheels pointing the same direction. I will not be traveling beyond South central Alaska. It's an impossible journey with my car in the condition it's in.

You still have to paint it Teal.

I took the fender off and it seems there isn't any damage beyond what is obvious. On a side note, staining the garage concrete orange was an utterly futile endeavor.

I intend to restore the car to a completely mechanically sound condition but the more I spend on this thing the longer it will be before I can get a new car. This accident has already pushed my plans back a full month into mid-summer. Because the A/C was removed I will have to get the windows tinted so that I can survive this little rolling greenhouse. I about succumbed to exhaustion while driving last year. If I'm going to be driving into the summer, I need to replace the bearing so it doesn't explode, and every little thing just continues to extend the time I will be driving the car before I can properly fix it.
I drove the car with bad ball joints for years, and I am driving with a twisted control arm right now. At this point I don't think I need to replace the tie-rod, but if I did given the condition of everything underneath my car I doubt I would be worse off. As far as the damaged panels, the longer I delay their repair the greater the chance for rust to appear so I would like to get an undamaged fender and have a body shop straighten the door out and blend the paint a bit.
