Re: WTB: Left Front ABS sensor

About how much do they cost?

At least rock auto has them still so we're not screwed if Subaru runs out.

Re: WTB: Left Front ABS sensor

That's a lot. I'll have to see if I can get the ones out of the spare knuckles in my garage.

Anybody have any idea whether sensors from other cars will work?

Re: WTB: Left Front ABS sensor

Edit: the four pulse per rotation was the speed sensor in an Impreza that I was thinking about.

As for the abs sensor, I think I'll have to wait to get my SVX back from the shop and pull a sensor from that and one of my Imprezas. The resistance values for a 'good' sensor are similar, but I think it's going to come down to input voltage and the number of teeth on the tone wheel in the long run, and the manuals just aren't clear enough to say one way or the other, so tinkering is the way to go.

Re: WTB: Left Front ABS sensor

I seen one post by sperry that said a different height abs stand off(moving the location out from the tone wheel) worked so he could use wrx abs, though I believe that was on a sti knuckle. But that does mean the connection and inner workings are compatible.

Oh yes- the brute force STi brakes thread . When I get the SVX back, I'll give it a whirl just for kicks, because I want to know now.
