Did u back it or just fill it with what looks like Fiberglass impregnated Bondo or we called it Duroglass. My body shop said they no longer weld in new sheet metal . They now cut out the rust and Epoxy Glue in a new piece of either fiberglass or sheet metal .
sorry for the confusion, the hose is connected but not in the picture.

i used fiberall and fiberglass to fix the holes.
i will later paint under the plastic with Rusolium paint.

i still weld at times, this time i chose not to.

Re: Vexine: 1992 SVX

I just checked the video tour of your SVX VERY NICE I wish I saw it before you bought it I would not have made any neg comments. The hip in the windshield , can it be repaired? The antenna is it stuck or just doesn't go all the way down? The sun roof is the same on both the SVX I have owned (lazy to open). The 94 is a little better , it doesn't always need the little push.Thr roof is in real great shape, most have faded. The motor sounds strong and so does the tranny.Nice smooth idle. Quiet exhaust..Side glass almost perfect no scratches. Seats have normal wear.Fix the rust and touch up the other areas and you got a nice looking and running SVx you done good

Re: Vexine: 1992 SVX

vexine failed inspection due to 3 minor things

1. Front Sway Bar Links
2. Right Rear Tire (can temporary fix no $)
3. Exhaust pipe on drivers side needs extended (can fix no $)

Re: Vexine: 1992 SVX

You could just replace the boot if there's no play in the link itself, but I don't know where you'd source them.

Re: Vexine: 1992 SVX

Always something.... RATS. will that mean a front end or 4 wheel alignment? I find it strange that u needed it inspected. In CT only if it is an out of state car does it need to be inspected .

Re: Vexine: 1992 SVX

his tip is missing so it exits under the car before the bumper cover. easy fix.

as for the tire I'm sure he will come up with one and put it on. No biggie there either

Sorry I didn't say anything about the exhaust John...I have a PA inspection License and I should have pointed that out to you. my bad.
