Thumbs up A wine toast to "Old Tom"

A couple of weeks ago I left the beast with Tom with the general instructions to "fix" everything. This was more a pre-emtive strike against what could disintigrate during the next 150K of SVX cruisin', along with few "it's broke now" items. While the list was 4 pages long, to include all leaks, brakes, timing belt, lots of rotten rubber stuff, all fluids, tie rods, stereo speakers, etc.,etc.; it's too long to mention in "what have you done to your SVX lately?".

Tom kept me posted as "bad stuff" was discovered, & if I wanted to replace the carnage. The bill was itemized down the part used, the cost, & the time (down to the minute) required to do the job.

PLUS I got to feed & play with the dogs while Tom wrenched!

Here's to ya', Tom (glug, glug,)

Ron.

Re: A wine toast to "Old Tom"

Certainly the best mechanic I've ever gone to. Doesn't screw you on prices and very very good at what he does.

Re: A wine toast to "Old Tom"

+1000000000 for him being a great guy. He has assisted me numerous times either with parts or knowledge, even when it means no profit to him! If that's not the sign of a great mechanic, I don't know what is.

Anyone who needs any work done (or parts that I know he can supply), I am sure to always direct them in his direction.

Though I'm shocked he hasn't corrected you yet, he likes to believe "OT" stands for "Original Tom"

As if it means anything different than "Old Tom"...
