Original wheel weight

Does anyone now how much one wheel of our beloved SVX weights?

Want to buy a set of Murano 18, but also want to know what the weight difference is. The owner of the wheels says one 18 inch Murano weighs 29lbs.

Stock SVX wheels weighed 20#s each.

Sounds close. I think I found that they weighed more like 25-26lbs.

Re: Original wheel weight

I think I got 22 lbs on my postal scale. Pretty heavy actually. My 16" Mustang rims were 17 or 18 lbs.
29 lbs is a boat anchor!

Re: Original wheel weight

From a 2004 document of mine on weight savings.
"- 14 lb lighter wheels (16.5 ea)"
16.6 X 4 wheels = 66#s
66#s plus 14#s = 80#s
80#s divided by 4 wheels = 20# each, for stock SVX wheels.

Re: Original wheel weight

I threw a stock rim and tire on the scale to compare with a murano rim on 225/40/18 and the difference in weight was 6 pounds IIRC. I believe it was 42lb for stock and then 48lb.

Do you have a picture of your car on the Mureno wheels?
I love these wheels under a SVX
