I somewhat agree. Seeing it on that car on CD makes it seem a bit better, but I still am not sold on it personally. I guess I'd have to see it in person.

Re: Shaved door handles

How do the door locks work? On both SVX I've owned you have to hold the handle and close the door and then release it or the doors don't lock. I'm assuming the door popper thingy takes the place of our stock power locks?

keyless locks take care of this issue.

No, ripping all of the lock crap out of the door takes care of that issue, you NEVER want locks on doors with no door handles or lock cylinders on the outside. Been there, done that, slim jimed a friend's truck at 3am, I now make 100% sure any car I install solenoids on from that point on is absolutely impossible to lock.

Re: Shaved door handles

Elliot,

Is there a way to employ a popper for a power trunk release? This is something I have thought about for my SVXs every time I've approached with an armful of parcels and fumbled with the keys.

Re: Shaved door handles

I'm willing to bet it would be really easy, the cable doesn't seem to take any effort at all to pull. So you can probably use a power door lock solenoid, I like GM ones because they are cheap, plentiful and pretty strong. I actually have the 4 lock solenoids I took out of that wagon sitting at the shop now, I could experiment with them.

Re: Shaved door handles

Nope... not 23. Other than the front bumper and rear wing, there is something that can be counted as "shaved" like the handles... I am not talking about modified.

John PM me if you know it (if you are counting it off the 23 I mean)

Re: Shaved door handles

I wanna see someone put butterfly doors on the SVX.

one hinge ball joint at the side mirror area, one up in the roof above the windshield, so the door opens up and forward, like the McLaren F1, Enzo, and Merc SLR...

better for your noggin than gullwing doors, narrower parking allowance than traditional door, especially long coupe doors...

Will not work, you need to delete the sunroof, and customize the hell out of the SVX body.

Furthermore, either lambo of gullwing, their are not practical.
