HB 417 (NEW 'law' in maryland)

Our 'new' law allows the A$$hole that the commissioners hired to HARASS the guys that have old cars has been passed! Now, we have a guy that has a 'disability' check from the md state police, a 'STARTING' salery of $10,000 MORE than I make after 21 years of service for the same commissioners, telling me that the 'PERMIT' that was issued 14 years ago is "no good"!!

I have spent the last week hauling 'stuff' across the State line!! My 'NEW' 'auto restoration shop' will be delivered TOMORROW!!
It will be dropped just SOUTH of the 'Former' FREE State!! (In West Virginia)

I will be a few miles south of OT's place!

I have spent $100's of thousands of dollars and kissed A$$ in maryland, trying to PRESERVE old cars over the last 14 years!!
NOW, I spent some dollars for the 'stuff' that a NEW shop takes to build,and will NOT own a repair shop in maryland as of august '09'.
My latest 'investment' has been gas for 2 trucks that are hauling all my "JUNK" OUT of the SOCIALIST state of confusion..... errr, maryland!!



GRRR!! IF your county want's "Code home rule" RESIST!! It is giving them IMUNITY from STATE laws!!

I WILL be calling on the 'delegate' that sponsored this NAZI law tomorrow!!

I WILL be fileing suit against all parties in the near future.
(as soon as my old cars are out of maryland!!)

Ahh, you can kinda get a taste of what Taxachusetts is like now... We just passed a law that limits the amount of ammo you can buy as well as limits you to one firearms purchase every 30 days. There is talk about stamping the ammo each individual buys as well..... I won't even begin to go into the auto laws...

I was just thinking this morning how there are so many people "in charge" need to listen to the song "Proud to be an American" again, and take special note of the lyrics.

Let me spell it OUT!! We got 'new' county commissioners that THINK they have the right to ignore what OTHER commissioners have voted on and issued permits for.IE, an auto restoration shop..

NOW, I have been told that I am NOT in COMPLIANCE with the 'NEW' law, because I have cars that do not run or are dis-assembled at my RESTORATION shop!!

Now, IS it POSSIBLE to restore a car without taking it apart?? NO!!

Some of my 'junk' rolled off the assembly line 70 YEARS ago!!

I have been beating my brains out trying to 'preserve' these cars untill I get the parts and time to restore them. My taxes have gone through the roof, the parts cost 100% more than they used to, my shift at work KILLS my day, (11:00 AM till 7:30 PM).

I have been involved with 25 'old cars' in the past 14 months. Some were repaired, some built from scratch! I have a HISTORY of ACTUALLY DOING something with these cars!

This MORON saw a 67 Chevy pickup with no front fenders, bed or doors. It was, in HIS mind, being 'dismantled'. In reality, IF he knew what he was LOOKING at, he would have SEEN 'NEW' cab mounts, inner and outer rockers, cab corners and floors! The truck RAN and drove!! It had no doors because they were on the saw horses getting new metal welded in!
There was 3 DAYS of welding DONE on the cab!!

It was a 'Partially RE-assembled' truck!!

I suffer fools badly.. THESE commissioners are FOOLS and have HIRED MORONS to do their dirty work!!


I am ABANDONING the state of my BIRTH. I am ASHAMED of what it has become!

We have bigger 'issues' than some old cars stashed 15 miles from town!!

Scrap dealer (collector, whatever; think "Sanford & Son") near here was apparently told by the county to get his refuse out of the front yard. He picked the yard clean... and piled it high on the front porch. I'm talking, junk to the ceiling. It's comical. Been that way for years. Guess he's in compliance with the letter of the law.

I have a hard time with this issue. On the one hand, a person should have the right to do what he or she wants on their property, but what if their stuff hurts the value of a neighbor's place?

I've already shared my opinion on this matter to you. I was really hoping that you would come out on top, but unfortunately that has not happened. I'm sorry, and I wish you the best of luck at the "new" shop. Please continue to give the classic cars new life.

I USED to have a 'junkyard' licence. At that time I had some pics taken from the AIR!! I had to 'REJECT' 5 of the pics. The reason, all the milk jugs, scrap tires and TRASH that 5 of my NEIGHBORS had on their property made MY JUNKYARD look BAD!!

I will attempt to 'link' the pic that I actually used to this thread.

I might just 'scan' some of the rejected pics later.

When I gave up the junkyard licence, I CRUSHED 300 cars! (20 that I wish I still had)

My whole 'problem' comes from the 'new' commissioners deciding to IGNORE a 'permit' that was 'ISSUED' 14 years ago for me to DO what I DO!

Lawsuit will follow!! (after the cars are protected, by moving them OUT OF STATE!!)

I have been VERY busy over the last month!
I only get on the puter 2 times per week for an hour or so.

NONE of my time has been spent building cars! I'm hauling, stashing, protecting etc, while PAYING jobs sit!!

My back hurts!! My bank account is suffering!! (This will ALL come out in COURT!!)
