Pics of my Bordeaux SVX (large pics)

Finally got some decent pictures of my latest SVX today. It is officially ALL fixed up, all it needs right now is 1 window switch replaced. Absolutely everything else is working perfectly and it has no leaks and no problems. Really doesn't feel like an SVX because it doesn't have any issues.

Looks nice, I definitely like the "swede alike" interior. I just picked up my 94 LS and I like it x20 more then the cloth interior.

My boyfriend actually found it. A guy posted it up forsale on an F-Body forum a couple months ago. At the time I wasn't looking to buy another car but once I sold my teal, I ran across the car again on craigslist.

Guy thought the motor was blown so he was selling it really cheap. Turns out the noise the car was making was actually from a missing bolt for the flex plate. It needed an alternator, battery, wheel bearing and radiator (had the usual hair line crack at the top) when I bought it. I swapped the alt & installed a battery in the guys driveway and drove it home (about 70 miles). Had it fixed up the rest of the way within 4 days.

Dont really know the history on it, as this guy got it because someone owed him money and couldn't pay him, so he was given the car as payment.

Looks like a nice car. Cover the seats like crazy. They can get dirty/stain very easily.

Yeah, I wouldn't doubt that. I will have to try to find some nice seat covers for it.

Nice. I too haz a 94 LS and my seats were shot. I found someone local with the charcoal leather seats. I got the front and back for $200. They were in really good shape too. Just the usual drivers side wear.

Good find!!!
Just curious how did you know there was a bolt missing in the flex plate? What was it sounded like?

Re: Pics of my Bordeaux SVX (large pics)

It was a weird sound, kind of a mix between a knocking/tapping noise but really loud. As the car heated up more sounded more like a rattling. Then when you would put it in gear, it would slightly go away, and once at highway speed, it wasn't nearly as bad. Was hard to pinpoint the location of the noise but the engine seemed strong on a test drive so I really didn't think it was a major engine issue. Especially since it had no leaks or smoke or anything....

Jason (Budfreak) happened to be in Columbus that day and when he heard it he said he thought the flex plate might be bad, then checked to make sure all the bolts where tight and sure enough one was missing.
