remember GM/s Buick Grand National. That was the fastest stock production car at the time, easily beating all corvettes of the time. Corvette drivers got pissed, and went and sold their Vettes to get the GN. Then, GM dropped GN after 3 years, so they could increase Vette sales again.
Not only The Grand Nationals, but also the GMC Typhoon was faster than that year Vette(91) and the Syclone was close as well. All 3 of those cars had VASTLY underrated HP numbers because it couldn't have more power than vettes. for instance the GN were rated at 275 hp from the factory but in reality were about 325-350 hp. Same thing with the other 2.

Geo metros usually have trouble going over 70 so you'd still be able to beat one if you wanted. Our 2nd gear will get us up to about 85/90 at redline, though I wouldn't wanna do it. Just saying its possible.

Don't know the year, but a neighbor of mine in Ventura took me around the block in his Regal T-Type. That's one quick Geezer Pleaser. Not sure what the difference is between that and the Grand National (American cars all look the same to me), but I was surprised to say the least.

Grand National was basically a specific optioned Regal T-Type that got a bigger turbo, only came in black, upgraded suspension, wheels, etc.
T-Type was an option for various Buicks throughout the 80's but the Regal got the most notoriety due to the GNX. T-Type simply meant the car had a turbocharged motor but originally was supposed to just be an appearence package.

There is a new never titled GN-X with 9 miles on Ebay right now. It was $29,290 in 1987.

A couple years back there was a never titled 72 mile '87 on ebay. It went for like 80k I wanna say. He's askin for too much at 107k with today's economy. Who knows, he might still get someone at that price. Hell I'd buy it if I had the money-actually I wouldn't, I wouldn't dare drive it and therefore no point in buying a museum car for me
I wonder how much the first or last '87 would be worth in untitled minimal mile perfect condition would be worth...

...or just wait it out until he sorts out that cars have merits outside of the quarter mile (or the horn-honk rolling start ).

I got those two mixed up. Yes the Syclone was faster than the vette when it came out in '91 and the typhoon was very close to the vette when it came out in '92.
That was 4 wheel drive, not all wheel drive in those
4wd=constant power to all wheels.
Awd=varying power to wheels depending on traction.
