2010: The Taurus SHO Returns

WOO!!! I like it. 365 HP twin-turboed V6, AWD, and some other nifty stuff. Ford's claiming it will be at least the equal of a BMW 550i.

Full story.

Re: 2010: The Taurus SHO Returns

I always liked the SHO Taurus.... but could they have made this redesign any more hideous?? Style is id say 3/5 the game when it comes to sports cars.

Re: 2010: The Taurus SHO Returns

I think that might be the best looking sedan Ford has ever made... Maybe that is not saying a lot, but that car above is hot....

Re: 2010: The Taurus SHO Returns

Why oh why isn't Ford developing small compact cars (more than the Focus) that get great MPG. Why can't they engineer something with a low drag coefficient as well, that handles well. If they had a aerodynamic, lightweight car, with above their average handling, then they wouldn't need half that power. Oh well, this is the last car from Ford, unless they come out with a BIGGER EXPlODER, or BIGGER EXCRETION, i mean expedition.

Re: 2010: The Taurus SHO Returns

They are coming out with a hybrid set-up that is supposed to take hybrid market by storm. The two chief cars on the new hybrid platform are the focus and the fusion.. Don't have time at work right now to go digging on the web to find related articles, but do a search....

Re: 2010: The Taurus SHO Returns

It looks ok, and the TT setup is pretty cool, however I have heard from a friend at ford that they are going to offer the same 3.5TT in a fusion. so why buy the SHO except for the name and the marketing...

Re: 2010: The Taurus SHO Returns

Haha, aren't we a riot?

A super fast twin turbo modernized feature enriched Taurus is still... a taurus. If they had used a different name, I might be able to find it nice, but that name instills elderly and unreliable in my book...

It's called the Excursion. It's the largest SUV on the market by over 8 inches. Mine has a turbo charged 6 litre diesel motor boasting 550lb-ft torque @ 2000 rpm and 325 hp @ 3300 rpm. small modifications to this can boost it to over 800 lb torque and over 600 hp. One of the very few Ford's worth owning, IMO. They make good trucks, and should stick with it. There are other folks who make good cars that they should not try to compete against, it's not worth their time or money, espeically in today's market.

And I think its cool that they are bringing the series back. Along with the SVT series. About time that they got back in the game. Wish my Focus was an SVT

I think the new taurus is absolutely gorgeous.

I also love the new fiesta. I hope they sell that here.
