animals

We got a new kitten a few weeks ago.

Our Calico that has been here for 6 years was PI$$ED!!

She would not eat, would not show her face for days!

She has 'failed to thrive' since the kitten has arived.

Enter ME!! I took the 'sage' calico under my arm. She recently moved into the 'man cave'. This is an area that has been 'off limits' to animals for 2 years. In 3 days, she has put on over 2 pounds!

It took her 3 weeks to lose the weight. but 3 days to start putting it back on! Animals are not dumb!! She is now my 'best animal friend!'!

She hangs out with me and doesn't care if someone is looking!

Used to be that she wouldn't come anywhere near me unless we were alone.

Dumb animals..... Naa, Dumb owners!! They are smarter than we think!!

WE are just too dumb to read what they say!

Any similar stories out there??

So far, she is still 'thriving'! She is still happy here!

All 'family' activity happens 50 feet south of here, but she will not go through that door!

She would rather hang out with Louie and I in the 'man cave'!!

That's OK though! She lets me know when she needs petted. I pet her, then she goes back to her perch next to the woodburner.

She has regained all the weight that she lost in her 'protest' of the new kitten.

Re: animals

Cats are awesome. Mine are kinda like that, folks are around (kids especially) and they're out of sight. Just me, and they're all over. Congrats on taking proper care of a good pet, hopefully they'll be with you for quite some time.
