Exclamation why wont my my rear wheels drive?

i notice that a little after i bought my car, my rear wheels stopped driving and now my car is just front wheel drive? what goin on?!?!?!?! ive been told that i need to add fluid, but i needed to know from peoples that knew SVX's.... so if it is fluid, i need to raise the rear end to get to the rear differential, right? probably have to raise the front to make the car level, so the fluid will be even?...

If your worried about Fluid, then check under the Hood first. Stand over the Battery from the Drivers Fender, and look for a yellow handle to your right, and down, under the Brake Resivore, at the rear of the engine {that's the Tranny Dipstick}. Do this on a level area.
Frankly, there is not much chance of your Rear Differential being anywhere near empty, unless the lower plug came out {yup, there's 2}.

Check in your main fusebox while your up there. It's forward of the Shock Tower. If the fuse is IN for FWD {and a good fuse}, then your forcing the rear to shutdown. This is what's known as the "Limp Home" mode. If someone else put the fuse in, then they didn't tell you something.

Did you check for a fuse like was suggested? If that isn't it, then there are other problems.

If you have your car parked in a quiet location, you can just turn the ignition key to on and you should hear the solenoid below you.

Pick a morning when you can sit for a minute....
Turn the key to ignition, and start the engine....
The computer should give a number of blinks on the green"Power" light, at the center bottom of your Instruments.
Look in the "How To's" for the blink codes.

There is actually a different method to pulling TCU codes (vs ECU codes).

Thought I'd throw this out there:

How do you know the rear wheels aren't being powered anymore?

Ah, gotcha. An SVX stuck in the snow would be a new sight to me, my car is one of the most capable things I've ever seen on the white stuff.

You might want to avoid smashing the pedal while you know your drivetrain isn't working 100%. Going from something relatively simple like Sol. C gone stupid to a nuked trans would make for a bad day.
