Yeah I noticed that as well... but it just gives it a clean look. I also noticed the lack of cats as per the undercarraige pics I tried to take. But hey, it was supposed to be hopped up a little right??

Did you notice in the undercarriage picture the undercladding piece appears to have a large section cut out with another piece with vents riveted in.

Maybe to better cool the tranny per the theory some here run without that piece installed? But this way it retains some of the aerodynamic, intake pressure area, and protective qualities that piece provides?

The car looks great. A few years ago someone posted here that it was being kept in a shed somewhere in terrible conditions and was not in the best shape. True or not, I'm guessing they put a little work into it to get it looking this good. Thumbs up to Subaru for considering this one of 6 cars worthy to represent their history.

Will this "40 years" display be making the rounds to all the auto shows this year?

It would surprise me - SOA was founded in Philadelphia. Besides, those are some really rare pieces to be hauling around!

I've got a bunch of pics of alot of the new/concept cars from the show. I'll upload them in a little bit.

Well, if you are Subaru and you have the parts and you have the money, you can cheat a little.......

You fellows notice anything a little different about the headlamps?

Aside from them being clear and clean??

Well to my eyes there is no fog lamp in the inner position. Those lamps are the same as my UK lamps, they are glass, and instead of a lamp in the inner position you can see the clear reflector plate.

And it's also probably the first and only SVX from the factory [John Hoffman's doesn't count] that has the hubcaps the same shade as the wheel rims.

Did you also notice that the opening in the bumper, where the license plate holder attaches, is blacked out. That inspired me to do the same with mine since we don't need front plates in Florida.

The best thing about the show was when we were taking pics of the Pace Car, and a guy walked by and said something like, "Oh isn't that the half window-thing car? Oh that's right it's an SVX, supposedly they have a sideways steering wheel or something??"

I got a good kick outta it

I was going to mention that as well Joe but I had exceeded my comment per post limit.

I had a brand new still in the box headlight in my position and it still didn't look as good as the ones in these pictures. They look like brand new glass to my eye as well.

It never occured to me to tap the headlight to see if it were glass or not. I did touch the car though
