Is an Accord V6 fast?

Today I was driving home from the airport and this kid in a new accord V6 was tailing me...I
drive really slow but I don't want to hurt my baby you know? Anyway, he whipped in front of
me and was stopped at a red to get on the freeway. I knew he was going to get on it up the ramp
and thought I'd see if I could keep up. Well I couldn’t. Don't get me wrong I was doing okay but
I wasn't keeping up. Got up to 75 and laid off as I don't need a ticket. I was a little disappointed
however, my motor is tired..I have 146k on her. She doesn't owe me anything but I would have
liked to have kept up. Awe well, I'm getting my other car out tomorrow that should cure the
mood. LT4

Yea I know about the street racing threads but I wasn't racing. Just getting on the freeway. More the point I'm wondering if my car is dying or just tired? Kinda sad to know an Accord is quicker than my SVX. What would it take? 5 speed switch and the new rear end you guys are swapping? But all that and the motor would still be tired. Maybe I'll just keep it slow for the snow. Just my observations of the night, lock it up if you must. Blue

Yes, the Accord runs low-mid 14's which beats even the 5 and 6 spd. SVX's.

One thing I noticed very early about the SVX is that its looks tend to attact the mine's-bigger'n-yours, pass-me-an'-I'll-show-you crowd. There will always, always be something out there faster than you. Why does that matter?

146k..you're just breaking that engine in. See, the accord guy's engine will have thrown a rod or just simply blown up by the time he reaches 100k. You'll have 300k and the engine will be still just as strong.

If you are after a racer or even a ricer, the SVX is not for you. There are much better cars out there that can be modified and charged up for less. The SVX is a Grand Touring car and not meant for what the others are. The car is just not that quick. The thing that is fun is to let them get all bothered by your car and make fools of themselves (which is not hard) and just smile. It drives them nuts. Most of them don't know if it is fast or what. Don't show them, it will make a much better point - the SVX has class.
