Removing grille

I am trying to take off my grille, and feel really stupid cuz I can't figure out how to get it off. Can someone please tell me what I'm doin wrong?

Asuming you have a 92-96 SVX, there are 2 clips at the top. Simply pinch the clips and tilt the grill forward until the clips clear the housing. There are now 2 rubber nubs on the bottom of the grill holding it in place. Just lift straight up and out, and this will disengage the nubs.

If you have a 97, the process is the same, but you have 4 clips at the top.

I had the same problem. Dont worry about it. I found that rotating it towards you and up works pretty well. do the same thing to put it back in.

This is one of the clips

Look at this pic.

I find a needle nose pliers works pretty well to squeeze them, then as squeezing, pull it forward slightly so it is no longer locked in. Then do the other side, pull forward a little and then up and out it comes.

Check these pics for the grill being removed further:

Good Luck
