wow, it's crazy around here.

I think that probably 98% of all the real super sports cars around here are owned by older, more mature people, that wouldn't dream of doing something stupid with their car, like street racing. However there's the other 2%, mostly because mom and dad have a lot of money and buy it for them. Nothing against those people, I wish my parents would. But those people do race and rag on their cars, and feel chalenged when they see something that looks and could be faster than theres. My neighbor is a car dealer, in the summer their son drives a viper, there's nothing too odd about that here.

However I only seamed to get "challenged" by the little ricers.

Also a "challenge" is anything you want to see it as...a 0-60, who's got the loudest exhaust, or who's got the most stickers on their car

just have fun w/ your car, enjoy it, and let the others do whatever it is they want to do w/ theirs

Have to agree with this. We males are the weaker sex in terms of self image.

who are we kidding here "challenging" people are fun, everytime I see I raced up honda or whatever next to me I look over and laugh, if he gives bite I am going for it. But if I pull up to a vette or something like that I give em a thumbs up. I mean I like those cars, not that I think that there cars are really any better. Think about it if I were to spend what 30k on my svx that I orginally spent 7 on my svx would roast a corvette, I feel. But if you all want to criticize do it all you want, cause honestly I could give a rats ass, that's me what I like doing. so there

Ill admit to this...

....if I meet up with any of those cars thru a mountain pass or a road with severe curves, lll play....in front or behind Ill put the SVX thru its paces for what it was most meant for imo. Even more
interesting in the rain. Even on the freeway Im not saying I drive 75 (our posted limits) when the car shows it colors best at any speed over that.

We can all be nice......but just because we all share the same interest in cars may not mean we share the same opinions...at least we all have ONE positive interest

Someone sort of said it before, but I think I should just sort of chime in.

If I pull up next to a rice-y looking car, I'm going to do everything within my power to beat him off the line, simply because in the event that I can beat him, he might feel a little pang of "gee, that guy has a really sweet car and it looks totally stock.. maybe I should re-think my automotive investment strategy.." If I can turn one ricer into a true automotive enthusiast (I'm gonna catch some flak for that one, but I truly feel that 90% of ricers are NOT true automobile enthusiasts) then I will feel some sense of accomplishment.

Anyway, if I roll up next to another stock butt-kicker like mine (M3, Z06, S4, etc.), I'm gonna give him (or her) a big friendly smile and wave hello. If they take the jump off the line, I'll give chase, but not with the intent of overtaking them.

I'm just out to teach these kids a lesson
