I started over. I didn't like the way the 00 Blitzen drove. I bought the 04 WRX STi Spec C and it rocks. At 433hp now and she flys!!! IB license was a pain. I hated the cones with the Z4. There is no way a Z4 will spin out at 40mph on dry asphalt going side to side. With the PSM turned off it spun at 20mph. My title in my avitar isn't something I took from the Wheaties box. But all in all a nice game. I wish some off GT2's best features made it over. Like hp races instead of specific models.

I bought some component cables for my ps2 and got to try it out in 480p on our projector. It looked even more amazing! I wanted to do 1080i, but unfortunately the projector can only do that with DVI cables. But from what I've read, the ps2 hardware can't do "true" 1080i, it's really just software up-scaling. Anyone else get to try out either of these modes (480p or 1080i)? I would highly recommend getting some component cables and at least try out 480p.

Also, anyone use the LAN feature? I’d like to hook this up next, and I was wondering what I would need and how to do it.

How do you guys get away with playing video games and not get hassled by the warden?
I take enough crap for being on the network. I can imagine if I upgraded to a ps2 I would be murdered.

I don't get much trouble from my wife for playing games. It might have something to do with my occupation.

It's unfortunate that many people still see video games as 'toys' or 'immature' wastes of time. As video game players grew up, so did the games. An increasing number of people see games as viable entertainment for adults.

I won the Subaru only series with my WRX STi Spec-C and got the Impreza Super Touring Car. Over 600hp and AWD!!!! I also won the Mazda 6 Touring car. I thought of Chike, but then I sold it anyway!

Angry PD don't like Scoobis

Unless I can be wrong and there is a Legacy RS among other Subarus from before 1994 aside from the SVX, it seems that the people at PD are Mitsubishi or probably every other manufacturer that has participated in rallying except Subaru and Ford. Well Ford because I know for a fact the Focus RS producing more than 212 whp. Which also applies for the Dodge Neon SRT-4, which oddly enough has 232hp in arcade mode. Maybe they make that way so it is harder to catch up to the big bad Mitsubishi Evos. And where is the Cosworth Siera and Escort?

Which leads me to believe that Polyphony is going acting as if they are the sole monopoly of the "realistic" automotive racing genre, or at least the largest (which sort of correct to a point) using tactics such as the one I explained above, two "unexpected" delays and the removal of online because they claimed it needed some tweaking (it is more like they want to avoid probable server costs and figuring out a way to milk the consumer of more money with an expansion). I hope Forenza among other games knocks some sense into them so we can finally see the fruits of their licensing other than using it to see if they can manipulate consumers into certain automotive preferences because my feeling is ever since they mistakenly got people to want rally inspired cars to being imported to the US so badly to the point that it either help boost WRX sales or even was the main factor to getting it imported to the US in the first place. Regardless it seems that PD think they can use GT4 to bend the automotive market. Or perhaps they are just showing off their own automotive preferences. Either way, the fact is they have the right to do so. But because of that they totally messed up that balance in this game among manufacturers which sort of ticks me off, and it is not only among Japanese vs foreign automobiles either.

It is one thing to be biased towards foreign cars but it is another to be biased among each manufacturer including ones from country of origin such as Subaru. And PD cannot say it is because of licensing problems either they got a license from GM which should give them the ok to put Subaru vehicles in the game. So in my opinion, Polyphony should get over their biasness and make a game that can appeal to every sort of consumer in the racing genre or else another game will that does will out sell them.

Btw, GT4 has Jensen but no Ferguson Formula, for shame. Not to mention the other cool concepts that came from Jensen, but thats not a problem. Not to mention skimping on the Buick GSX.

The series creator has 3 Evos. Coincidence? I know what you mean, though, in GT3, they had the "Prototype" rally versions of the new (at the time) Evo and STi. At full speed, the Evo made the STi look like it was standing still, and handled like it was on rails, even in the dirt.

And yeah, they really pussified the GNX.

Yeah, I only got bronze too, but that was one the first lap I actually completed. By that time, I was so POed, I didn't even care anymore, I was just happy to have the license. I now have full S-Class licensing, and I'm tearing ish up with my orange Impreza LM.
