Elusive spoiler

Does anyone know where i can get my hands on this spoiler. It looks like the perfect spoiler for our cars.

I've already checked motorsport warehouse and didn't see it. Maybe it's only available in Japan.

I guess it's only available at the prototype SVX..... this is a "built in" spoiler along with the trunk, a one piece spoiler/trunk unit...
I don't think it has ever been made by anyone other than the prototype SVX

I'd certainly buy on if someone went through the trouble of making an need trunk lid that incorperated the spoiler like that.

That is the "Concept" spoiler and we got the "As Built" spoiler.

So somebody make a fiberglass trunk lid. Maybe the struts will survive, then.

SilverSpear, why haven't you done this yet? How could you possibly pass up such an obvious glass mod?

The trunk lid is already a composite. It is not metal. Looks to me like it is fiberglass.

It doesn't seem like it should, but I think that weight comes mostly from the spoiler.

I have seen the affect on other vehicles (w and w/o spoiler), but never like it seems to affect the SVX.

This is wierd but the trunk seems heavier when opening it than it does if you pick up a detached trunk lid

Perhaps it has something to do with the hinges?????

I agree I think when you lift the lid you are pulling against the shock. It isn't so much weight as it is suction. Its only when it almost fully open that the strut does any pushing.

Yeah, I took mine off and it is fairly heavy.

As for the prototype wing... take a Prova wing and mold it to the trunklid. I think that would look pretty close. And it would be light, too

it is in Fiberglass with a very thin layer of metal sheet integrated but not inside all the trunk, just in the outside layer.... you know the trunk has two layers..

Oh yeah, don't tempt me, i am crazy enough to do it... just send me a spare trunk and i will do it.
