You have a Japanese SVX with a CXD chassis number? It looks nice in the photographs.

That's a very rare 4 wheel steer car like mine. I think there are three of us now.

Welcome to the club.

Yep. It seems that a handful of them were actually made. Someone on here used to have pics of the owners manual with a diagram of the rear steering system. Very cool.

Not the wrong side, but the 'cool' side...

A guy that used to live near to me when I lived in Northern VA 2 yrs ago, owned a Skyline R33 V-spec. That's the cool side to sit on when driving a JDM sports car!

Jp SVX

The first year, SVX in Japan had two versions..basically equipment difference.
same engines..

Version L
Verision E

I have Jp catalogues and video here(thanks to my parents who once thought buying SVX that time! ended up not buying though..too pricy)

Version L comes with ABS, 4WS, cruise control, auto head lites, leather seats, leather AT shift, leather hand brake lever, 12 CD changer..
and the price is like 3950,000yen(ouch!)

Version E doesnt come with those items listed above.
and the price I remember was like 3330,000 yen or some like that.
I guess majority of people in Japan bought the VE(Version E).

Oh I just found out the steering gear ratio is different.
VL has 14.2
VE has 16.2
I have no clue why..

BTW, isn't that 240hp/6000rpm instead of 250hp? Sorry if i understood wrong.

Black SVX is nice. If i buy another SVX, i would get black one.. and maybe make it look like a Jp version!
Actually when I bought my white '92 SVX, that dealer had another SVX, black '94 with same price as mine. But they told me they just had sold the black one to another guy. I will buy a black SVX some day, and still keep my white one!
I love both

That's 250ps... I don't know what that measurement is but I think it's a diffrent way of measuring the power of an engine... I could have sworn that I saw this used before... European countries (and Russia) use it... I think I've seen it used in Australia as well...

Japan measures in ps also. Most places, I've seen the SVX having 240ps though.

the electric drive of rear seats
That's the one I found most interesting. What would be electrically adjustable in the rear seats unless they are of a radically different design than ours are?

Only difference I can see with the Jp back seat and the US back seat is...

Jp has a seat belt and a buckle in the middle for the 5th person in the car.

I don't want to be the 5th one!
If SVX had the electric drive back seats, that must have been the first one in Japan.. As far as I remember, Nissan Crew(Taxi) was the first one with the electric back seats.. AND spinner wheels!(actually there was ads on the wheel cover, and that acts like spinners, you can still see the ads on it, when the car is driving) @This wheel cover with ads is called E-CAPS, and many Taxi Co. are using it in Japan..

When will I ever stop learning about this car? Not that I'm complaining. I just find it surprising that I continue to learn new things about the SVX after thinking that I know everything there is to know. Day in and day out, the SVX continues to put a smile on my face.
