O-ring Fix Question

Hey all - My car has started to develope a minor groan during low speed turning (parking lot type situations), which seems to be pretty certaintly the o-ring issue (still plenty of fluid in the resivoir).

So, what is the downside of waiting a month to fix it? Here in minneapolis, I don't have access to a garage to do the fix myself, nor do I have any torx drivers (unless some kind minneapolis resident wants to volunteer half an hour to help me... *wink*), and I really don't like the idea of taking it to a dealer and trying to convince them that I just want the o-ring replaced.

Am I going to run into any serious issues if I wait till thanksgiving (When I can get back to wisconsin) to do it? I figure I'll probably put on about 500 miles between now and then ... will living with a minor groan for a month lead to substantial issues in 6 months?

Any advice, input, or ways to make girls like me would be helpful...

-Colin

Colin,
I don't think it would really hurt anything. Just make sure you keep the fluid level in check. It will be a major annoyance. However, if it gets to the point where it makes your belt slip and squeal, I'd change it ASAP when that begins to occur.

As far as getting girls to like you, I never got the hang of that either. That's why when Shari showed the least bit of interest in me, I popped the question.

The SVX may not be totally italian, but at least I dont have to spend weeks on end trying to convince parts desk managers that there is indeed such a thing as a Laforza...
