North Cali / Bay Area Meet
ok folks...who's intersted from north cali area to maybe meet at luguna seca or sears point? thre might be a cost to join SCCA and possible renter's fee for an area during a weekend...or maybe piggy back on a date with another SCCA club.... or just meet at like an airstrip and do some time trials maybe have a prize...there is a local club (SCCA) that gets together at various locations that autocross....would any of our SVX members be interested..the cost to join this club (SCCA-santa rosa area) would be somwhere around $30-40 range for the 1st year...aprox $15-20 renewal, and for each event the cost would be like $25-$35 depending on location and cost for example there is an airport we set a course at now...do a lil show n tell -lol- do some practice runs and then have a two heat shootout...its runs normally from (10am-3pm) ealier for people that set up and close down (8am-4ish).
we are always looking for new members and I sure would like some other SVX company..maybe if enough people with SVX's join we could have just an SVX class and run against eachother -lol- oh i've rambled...sorry..well if your interested say so fool. ANY INTEREST at all? Last edited by Brock94SVX; 03-11-2004 at 11:22 AM. |

Local SCCA events are held at the Oakland Coliseum, or Candlestick Park, Golden Gate Fields, Atwater near Stockon & the Marina near Monterey. SCCA Membership is $70 a year, and $30 event for autocross.
http://www.sfrscca.org/index.phtml I would rather join NASA because of their HPDE! But I don't have $120-$150 per event to throw down. http://www.nasaproracing.com/norcal/index.html The local club here in Santa Rosa is Empire Sports Car. We do follow many of SCCA Solo 2 rules, but are not affilated with them. Membership is $18 a year (1st year is $28) Our auto-x events are $30 for members only. Unlike SCCA, only members can attend our local autocrosses. (coming soon!) www.empiresportscar.org Another good series which caters more to the domestic pony cars, but anyone is welcome is American Autocross. http://www.americanauto-x.com/ |
