Cheap workbench

My in-laws came to visit this weekend, and amongst other home improvement tasks my father-in-law and I tackled, we built a workbench in the garage. I was sorely lacking a surface to work on stuff. That, and the storage the shelves provide. Anyway, the bench was a copy of the one he built for himself. We used nine 8ft 2x4s and one sheet of heavy pressboard. Two boxes of coarse-thread screws (3" and 1.25") brought the total cost to under $40.

It's heavy and very sturdy. The whole perimeter of the work surface is reinforced, so you can clamp or bolt things to it all the way around. If anybody needs to build a bench, I'd be happy to take a couple photos and post measurements.
