Child seat top anchor

I tried to put my son's seat in my SVX, and much to my surprise the anchor is not actually there. It's something I need to bolt in. Fantastic. Who thought that was a good idea?

I wonder if I have one squirreled away somewhere, either in the car or my boxes of parts. I don't remember ever seeing one.

Do you have a top anchor you're not using? If so, what do you want for it? My son wants very badly to take a ride in The Red Car.

Thanks.

Re: Child seat top anchor

They were included as part of the accessories when the car was sold new. A kit in a bag that included the bolt, spacer, a trim cap, and instructions. The cap replaces the one that is installed when the car is assembled.

Still available from Subaru. About $10.00

I ordered one a few months ago:

96031PA000 - Gray Interior
96031PA030 - Beige Interior

Re: Child seat top anchor

Well, my local dealer says they can't even get them any more. They claim none are available in the country.

I don't remember whether I ever saw one of these anchors in the car. It's possible, but I don't think so.

I have little doubt that I can make something functional and safe with hardware off the shelf, but it would be nice to find the real thing.
