need an alternator

Looking for an Alternator for a 1994 LSi. If anyone has one they are looking to sale please let me know. Damon.e.dilworth@gmail.com or through the board.

Check out the maniac electric ones, they are supposed to be very good.

Lemmie know how my old one works out for you when/if you rebuild it. I'd like to see what the cause of death was.

We already know the cause of death: It was a crappy bosch rebuild.

Thanks for reminding me to send it off to be rebuilt though, I needa do that. Gonna see about having it ceramic coated or something similar as well.

I had my alternator case done at thermaltechcoatings prior to sending it to Maniac for a 160A rebuild. I chose the satin finish.

The ceramic-metallic process is called "Cermakrome"

This coating is an aluminum-ceramic based heat-dispersant coating that enables the alternator to run at a cooler temperature, thus prolonging the life of the alternator. I also have the same coating (inside and out) on my valve covers, except highly polished.
