How much the Prototype Brochure go for?

After winning the last prototype brochure for $99 (a staggering $200 Australian.....aggghhhh), I am curious as to how much the one that ended this morning went for.

Oh, and yes, I have scanned it in and will host it on my site ASAP.

Regards

Jamsvx

Unhappy To much for me

I was up to around $65.00 when I was out bid for it. I think it went of at 68 or 69 dollars. I really want one for my collection but I guess I will have to wait.

Prototype Brochure

Are you referring to the SVX as Concept car/Active Safety Vehicle brochure? http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/user.php?svxcess|251

I paid 141.00 US (268.40 AUD) plus shipping from the United Kingdom.

(This is my most expensive acquisition. At the other end of the spectrum is the 1992 Alcyone SVX Owner's Manual, entirely in Japanese at only $10.70 from Subaru Japan

I want one real bad but I just can't commit to spending that much for one. Maybe next time.

OMG!!!

And I thought I was bad!!

As for why we want it, it is because, to me anyways, we are fanatics and want to horde SVX stuff like others do with Jags, Mercs etc etc.

My cheapest acquisition was when I was stopped at the lights and an Italian gent, Geffrey Giuagaro or something, was in an unusual looking car next to me...with funny windows and a decided similarity to the car that appeared in the prototype brochure. I called out that it appeared that his transmission had fallen onto the road a while back together with some sunvisors - at which point he jumped out and ran back to get his defecting and defective goods. Tossing a shiny penny at his fast retreating head, I jumped in, loaded up the torque converter and sped off to my garage where the prototype now resides in a cocoon of tissue paper.

Ie: what actually happened to the prototype?

It was recycled into something else, as it was most likely made of clay

Unless, of course, there was a rolling prototype before production?

Where are you going to post those pics of the brochure? I want to see it!

No, no! It wasn't made of clay. The original prototype that was shown at the Tokyo motor show was fully functional. I've got photos somewhere around here that show it on the road (some are in the rain). This is the car that had the voice activated controls, active 4WS system and some other goodies.

I'll work on the assumption that imitation is the highest form of flattery!!!

Thanks for the kind words though....I do apologise to everyone for the sporadic updating but a combination of a lack of time and a slow internet link is a bit of a burden.

As for the pictures, I was attempting over the weekend to upload them but I could not get a good connection to Geocities.

I will endeavour to have them up by weeks end.

Jamsvx

PS: I'll also recipricate the link!
