The Highs & Lows of No SVX
Its been a week since the front diff went, so...
Highs >barely have used 1/4 tank of regular gas in a week... >driving stick >not having to take 2 buses to work, 4 times a day (split shifts) Lows SVX withdrawal symptoms including, but not restricted to: >calling the tranny shop to check visiting hours >waking up and thinking I'll go for a drive before realization hits >buying a lenses cleaning kit for when she comes home >mechanic telling you they're pulling her into the shop at night, and you're jealous 'cause they get to drive her >little old lady leaps out in front of me and I forget I have to pump the brakes cause its the Sprint >other drivers cutting me off cause its the Sprint and no one takes you seriously >no power >buying new tires for the Sprint and still not feelin' it >no intermittent wipers, let alone speed sensitive ones, and its the rainy season >forgetting, for a second, that its not the SVX and trying to pass the jerk who cut you off >tin can stereo with no CD >looking out at the driveway and sighing, which is driving your husband/son crazy

lows...
-Making a left turn and sliding into the wrong lane. -Mashing the gas just for the dissapointment of no power mode. -trying to jump into traffic on a rainy day, and almost killing youself because you spin the front tires instead of acually going. -realising that the svx is a drivers car and an infiniti is a passengers car. -screw the passengers. -not being able to knock their heads into the half window when you take a 90 degree turn at fifty. with confidence. highs... -not having top pop the hood in a month.

Seriously, it's not an SVX. Pros... You're not dead (but without an SVX, are you really living???).

Highs: I get to work sooner because I'm not talking to a curious observer.
The Olds gets 30mpg Lows: I get to drive the Oldschmobile Gutless. I don't get to show off my WAY cool car to a curious observer.
