Houston, we have a problem
Well we did.....
You can see the replacement part in the background. Heres what it really looks like. A pic of the tranny tunnel where the front u-joints let go and created the above mess. Equal gouging on both sides btw. I have to wait till Monday to get a gasket for it I assume its a dealer item only. What a way to get aquainted with my new car, eh? Oh, the PO had tried to JB weld this back together If he had replaced it like I am, he probably wouldnt have sold it. So I guess I lucked out!

It didnt quite blow up. When the drive shaft came loose it beat the crap out of the housing and broke it off. There was nothing but the transfer clutch and shaft holding it together.
