If I had to guess, your car had the Smallcar clear lenses, and the amber reflectors were probably retained for legality purposes?

Removing the reflectors from the actual stock lenses isn't quite as easy, what with their being glued in from the outside, per my picture above. I'd be interested in entertaining any ideas on how to get the freakin' things out!

It could probably be done if you re-heated just the outer lens with the amber on it so it would soften up the glue holding it into the outer lens. That way you could use a putty knife to pry it out or something like that. I'm sure it would also be a wayyyyy harder job to do with real stock lenses than how I had done it.
